Our intimate wine room offers guided wine tastings, sumptuous meals, workshops, romantic encounters, big celebrations and a lot of fun. Hospitality isn't a decision, it's an inborn quality that grows stronger with the years. We love to host.
The Netofa Winery offers elegant, old-world-type fine wines exemplified by smooth body and complex bouquets and flavors. The Netofa Winery's vineyards, planted on the soil of Ein Dor in the Lower Galilee, feature an array of varieties such as Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Tempranillo, Touriga Nacional, Chenin Blanc and Roussane, Mediterranean varieties whose compatibility with the terroir maximizes the qualities and characteristics of the grapes.
On the slopes of Mt. Tabor, on the land of Kibbutz Ein Dor, beats the heart of the Netofa Winery, 30 acres with an array of varieties that prove their compatibility with the terroir of the Lower Galileeeach harvest anew. The Chenin Blanc, originally from the Loire region, and recently the Roussane from the Rhone Valley, are used to create varietal white wines not often seen in Israel. Together the Mediterranean varieties Mourvèdre, Syrah and Grenache along with the Iberian Tempranillo and Touriga Nacional provide rich, complex blended wines, and in especially good years they're used to produce varietal wines.
Our vineyards' unique microclimate features a variety of well-drained types of soil along slopes that allow for planting at ideal angles for sunlight and aeration between rows of vines. The vines are meticulously grown and pruned for small yields, with each variety receiving care according to its own special needs. Furthermore, regulated, state-of-the-art irrigation and fertilization, a disease- and pest-free environment, and most importantly, lots of love and care, combine to produce high-quality clusters which constitute the basis for the winery's wines.
The Netofa Winery sees itself as a place for people who love. People who love wine, who love people, who love to host and who love to live. We're proud of our family and enjoy sharing our days (and nights, too) with this amazing bunch. If we posted pictures of everyone who was part of our efforts we'd need an endless page, and we're grateful. Here's a little taste...
